DAILY OR LIVE-IN HOUSEKEEPERS FOR NEW ESTATE TEAM IN OXFORDSHIRE
Our VVIP client is looking for experienced and knowledgeable Housekeepers to make up a team of three Housekeepers as part of their Estate team.
You must have excellent housekeeping knowledge and take pride in your work. Ideally you will come from a private household environment with a minimum of 4+ years’ experience and checkable references as essential. We are looking for candidates who are motivated in their work and who enjoy keeping the home in a pristine condition. You will have a keen eye for detail and will understand private household etiquette and privacy requirements.You must be dog friendly and light dog washing is part of the daily routine during rainy months. There are dedicated dog wash facilities.
Your duties will include (but not limited to):
• High standard of cleaning, knowledge of how to care for fine furniture, silver, wooden floors and panelling
• Regular window washing
• Laundry, including hand washing of delicate fabrics such as cashmere and silk
• Ironing
• Making and changing beds
• Occasionally assisting with formal dinner service as part of a two-person team
• Laying the table for family meals and clearing away afterwards
• Cleaning and tidying the kitchen
• Checking stock lists and making the EM aware when more supplies need to be ordered
These positions can be live-in or live-out. You will work 5 days per week with 2 days off – your exact schedule is to be arranged between you and the other housekeepers as part of a rota schedule. Ideally candidates who hold a valid driving license would be preferred as some errands may be required of you and if you are daily, you will need to get yourself to and from your place of work. Your hours will be 9am – 5pm, occasionally you might be asked to stay later if the family are entertaining and you will accrue any overtime as extra time off in lieu.
The salary on offer is £40,000 gross per annum, with a discretionary performance bonus. You will be awarded a statutory pension as part of your contract if employed as PAYE. Self-employed candidates will also be considered and this can be flexible to suit the preference of the right candidate. Holiday entitlement is 24 days per annum + bank holidays. Holidays to be taken when the family is away. Sky TV and WiFi are included as part of your live-in accommodation.
