Chace People is searching for a Fabulous Private Chef for a private VIP family in Gstaad, Switzerland on this temporary contract. You will be joining a newly formed Household in Switzerland and this is a secondary residence for Principals. Although this is a temporary position for the moment, there is a possibility for the role to become permanent once the family returns to Europe in spring 2023. 

The family like simple, impeccably prepared food using fresh and organic ingredients sourced from the best suppliers. As Chef you will source the best, local (where possible) produce and build a consistent and high standard of contacts and suppliers in the area, with constant assess to these options. Knowledge of the area and previous experience is desired for this role.

The principals have a preference to Spanish/Mexican cuisine however are open to ideas from their Chef for a variety of menus and new meals to try. You will also be cooking all the household staff meals too. For the right candidate, this could be an ongoing permanent position which will see busier times throughout the year when the family are in residence and more down-time “off-season” when they are not.

Responsibilities will include:

• Menu planning and discussing weekly menus with Principals when in the residence
• Preparing lunch and dinner for family
• Preparing all staff meals 
• Food shopping and ordering
• Stock control
• Cleaning and organising of fridges, store cupboards and kitchen equipment
• Daily clean down of kitchen to the highest of standards
  
  

You will be a team player with attention to detail and great communication skills. A Chef who is highly flexible, proactive and calm under pressure is a must!

This is a temporary live-in or live-out position and a complete package will be discussed at the interview stage. We are interviewing now for a November start and early January 2023 finish! All applicants would ideally have a Swiss work permit for this position, although EU and UK candidates will be considered.
