EXECUTIVE CHEF FOR UK UNIQUE REGENERATIVE FARM AND RETREAT, LAUNCHING 2024

The farm and retreat sits in a stunning position on the Jurassic coast with truly breath-taking views including a vineyard overlooking the ocean. All this sits on a 100 acre patch of earth that celebrates regenerative and sustainable ways of working. The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team and create a simple but stunning food offering to all guests both in the main farm house and also in all entertainment areas, both static and portable. As well as providing beautiful hamper offerings for cottage guests. All food is grown on site and the retreat celebrates the everyday and what’s on offer. As Executive Chef, you will have full control over the menu and celebrate stunning food grown onsite.

 

The Role

Working with, and directly reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation of the kitchens and associated areas in readiness for the opening of the Wellness Farm and Retreat in early 2024. Thereafter the duties will include the running and management of these areas ensuring the vision and culture is prominent at all times.

You will work closely with the Head Gardener and Head Farmer to use a regeneratively grown/reared produce, showcasing the retreat’s connection with nature and what it can provide.

 

The Person

This role will suit a person who is passionate about seasonal food, locally sourced, and grown using regenerative methods to produce stunning but homely food for guests to enjoy. The kitchen team will be small so a hands-on approach will be required from this person and the ability to connect with guests to impart the retreat’s culture and vision. The Chef we are looking for will feel at home amongst guests, be humbled, thoughtful, a team player and willing to try out new thing, and to make their special mark at the retreat. This person will treat the retreat, and the retreat team, as they would being at home with the family.
