DIRECTOR OF RESIDENCES FOR UHNW FAMILY ON THE EAST COAST, USA

 

  • Salary from $250,000 + gross p.a. DOE (+ employee benefits)

The Chace People team is recruiting for this exciting new opportunity, for an experienced Estate Manager or Director of Residences to join a well-established ultra high net worth family, based along the East Coast from New York to Miami.

 

Reporting directly to the Principals and working closely with the senior family office team, you will be managing the family's multi-property estate, travelling to the different residences as required.

 

As someone who has come from a private household background you will have an innate understanding of the attention to detail needed for such a role, with experience managing mid-sized teams and  with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, making sure the family’s security is a priority at all times. You will have proven loyalty and commitment to previous Principals and will be someone who can be trusted to act as a representative of the family when needed.

 

As the successful candidate you will be joining a well-organized family office and as such the Principals are looking for candidates who are forward thinking, able to take ownership of existing and new projects as well as being someone who is successfully able to manage properties and staff remotely.  

 

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Overseeing the maintenance and management of multiple properties
  • Management of up to 10 staff members + additional temporary staff as required
  • Hiring and training staff, onboarding and following HR processes when needed
  • Opening and closing of properties as required by the family
  • Regular site visits to assess properties and preventative maintenance programs  
  • Setting up and managing SOP’s where needed
  • Setting up and managing home technology systems
  • Overseeing all vendor management and sub-contractors, building and maintaining these relationships
  • Overseeing all aspects of any construction and renovation projects as needed
  • Contribution to the creation and management of household expense reports and budgets
  • Ensuring the properties are guest-ready at all times

 

An ideal candidate will be/have:

 

  • At least 5 years relevant experience managing a multi property estate
  • Experience managing small teams, both in-person and remotely
  • Tech Savvy - understanding of - and ability to learn - intricate household technology systems
  • A self-driven individual who is able to work independently, taking ownership of your workload and reacting with appropriate urgency to frequently changing priorities
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, while being able to prioritize multiple tasks and projects whilst always looking for ways to improve
  • A problem solver with a positive attitude
  • Tactful with colleagues and with a high level of integrity and sound judgment when dealing with discrete information
  • A top-level communicator
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of New York City area
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Miami area or be willing to learn 
  • Intrinsically detail orientated
  • Fluent in Spanish
